एवमप्यशुभं कर्म कर्मणस्तत्फलात्मकम् | त्यज त्वं राजशार्दूल मैवं शोके मन: कृथा:
evam apy aśubhaṁ karma karmaṇas tat-phalātmakam | tyaja tvaṁ rājaśārdūla maiva śoke manaḥ kṛthāḥ ||
วยาสะกล่าวว่า— “ถึงกระนั้น หากกรรมใดโดยสภาพแท้จริงผูกพันอยู่กับผลของตนเอง—ก่อให้เกิดผลอัปมงคล—ก็จงละกรรมอันชั่วนั้นเสีย โอ พยัคฆ์ท่ามกลางราชา อย่าให้จิตของเจ้าจมอยู่ในความโศก”
