याज़्ञवल्क्य उवाच कृत्स्नधारिणमेव त्वां मन्ये गन्धर्वसत्तम । जिज्ञाससे च मां राजंस्तन्निबोध यथाश्रुतम्‌

yājñavalkya uvāca | kṛtsnadhāriṇam eva tvāṃ manye gandharvasattama | jijñāsase ca māṃ rājan tan nibodha yathāśrutam ||

ยาชญวลกยะกล่าวว่า “โอ้ผู้ประเสริฐแห่งคันธรรพะ เราเห็นท่านเป็นผู้ทรงความรู้ความเข้าใจอันครบถ้วนแท้จริง แต่ถึงกระนั้น โอ้พระราชา ท่านยังไต่ถามเราเพื่อประสงค์จะรู้ทัศนะของเรา เพราะฉะนั้นจงฟังเถิด เราจักเล่าตามที่เราได้สดับรับมา”
