प्रादुर्बभूव सुमहानग्नि: कालानलोपम: । तत्पश्चात्‌ अमिततेजस्वी देवेश्वर महादेवजीके क्रोधके कारण उनके ललाटसे भयंकर पसीनेकी बूँद प्रकट हुई। उस पसीनेके बिन्दुके पृथ्वीपर पड़ते ही कालाग्निके समान विशाल अग्निपुंजका प्रादुर्भाव हुआ ।। तत्र चाजायत तदा पुरुष: पुरुषर्षभ

bhīṣma uvāca | prādurbabhūva sumahān agniḥ kālānalopamaḥ | tatpaścād amitatejasvī deveśvaraḥ mahādevaḥ krodhakāraṇāt tasya lalāṭāt bhayaṅkaraḥ svedabinduḥ prādurbabhūva | tasya svedabindor bhūmau patitasya kālāgnisadṛśaḥ viśālaḥ agnipuñjaḥ prādurbhūtaḥ || tatra cājāyata tadā puruṣaḥ puruṣarṣabhaḥ ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “บัดนั้นเพลิงมหึมาดุจไฟกัลป์อวสานก็อุบัติขึ้นฉับพลัน และ ณ ที่นั้นเอง ในกาลนั้น บุรุษผู้ประเสริฐท่ามกลางมนุษย์ได้ถือกำเนิด”
