अध्याय २८१ — दानधर्मः, न्यायागतधनम्, ऋणत्रय-परिशोधनं च
Dāna ethics, lawful wealth, and settling obligations
ब्रह्मवध्या महाघोरा रौद्रा लोकभयावहा । करालदशना भीमा विकृता कृष्णपिड्ूला
brahmavadhyā mahāghorā raudrā lokabhayāvahā | karāladāśanā bhīmā vikṛtā kṛṣṇapiṇḍūlā ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “บาปแห่งการฆ่าพราหมณ์นั้นน่าสะพรึงยิ่ง—ดุร้าย น่าหวาดผวา และเป็นเหตุให้ทั้งโลกครั่นคร้าม มันปรากฏเป็นอำนาจอสูรอันน่ากลัว มีเขี้ยวฟันอ้ากว้างน่าสยดสยอง รูปร่างบิดเบี้ยว สีคล้ำและพองบวม—ดุจภาพเตือนว่าเมื่อทำร้ายสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ การล่วงละเมิดธรรมะย่อมหนักหนาเพียงใด”
