श्रेयो-धर्मकर्मविचारः
Inquiry into Śreyas, Dharma, and Karma
प्रवृत्तमेतद् भगवन् महर्षे महद्युतेश्नक्रमनन्तवीर्यम् । विष्णोरनन्तस्य सनातनं तत् स्थान सर्गा यत्र सर्वे प्रवृत्ता: । स वै महात्मा पुरुषोत्तमो वै तस्मिन् जगत् सर्वमिदं प्रतिष्ठितम्,भगवन! महर्षे! महातेजस्वी, अनन्त एवं सर्वव्यापी भगवान् विष्णुका यह अमित शक्तिशाली संसारचक्र चल रहा है। यह भगवान् विष्णुका वह सनातन स्थान है, जहाँसे सारी सृष्टियोंका आरम्भ होता है। महात्मा विष्णु पुरुषोत्तम हैं। उन्हींमें यह सम्पूर्ण जगत् प्रतिष्ठित है
pravṛttam etad bhagavan maharṣe mahadyuteśnacakram anantavīryam | viṣṇor anantasya sanātanaṃ tat sthānaṃ sargā yatra sarve pravṛttāḥ | sa vai mahātmā puruṣottamo vai tasmin jagat sarvam idaṃ pratiṣṭhitam ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่ผู้เจริญ ข้าแต่มหาฤๅษีผู้รุ่งเรืองยิ่ง วงล้ออันยิ่งใหญ่ของโลกนี้—ไร้จุดเริ่มและเปี่ยมด้วยพลังอันหาที่สุดมิได้—ดำเนินไปด้วยอำนาจของพระวิษณุผู้หาที่สุดมิได้ นั่นคือพระธามอันเป็นนิรันดร์ของพระองค์ อันเป็นต้นธารที่สรรพการสร้างสรรค์ทั้งปวงเริ่มต้น พระวิษณุผู้มหาตมะนั้นแลคือปุรุโษตตมะ และในพระองค์นี้เองที่จักรวาลทั้งมวลตั้งมั่นอยู่”
