ततः पित्रा चिरं स्तुत्वा चिरं चाप्राय मूर्थनि । चिरं दोर्भ्या परिष्वज्य चिरं जीवेत्युदाह्यत:,तब पिताने चिरकालतक उसकी प्रशंसा करके देरतक उसका मस्तक सूँघा और चिरकालतक दोनों भुजाओंसे खींचकर उसे हृदयसे लगाये रखा और आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा--“बेटा! चिरंजीवी हो”
tataḥ pitrā ciraṁ stutvā ciraṁ cāprāya mūrdhani | ciraṁ dorbhyā pariṣvajya ciraṁ jīvety udāhṛtaḥ ||
แล้วบิดาก็สรรเสริญเขาเนิ่นนาน ด้วยความรักจึงดมศีรษะของเขาซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า โอบกอดด้วยสองแขนแน่นนานนักแนบไว้กับดวงใจ แล้วกล่าวคำอวยพรว่า “ลูกเอ๋ย ขอเจ้าจงมีอายุยืนยาว”
