भीकम (2 अमान अष्टात्रिशर्दाधिकद्विशततमो< ध्याय: नाना प्रकारके भूतोंकी समीक्षापूर्वक कर्मतत्त्वका विवेचन
vyāsa uvāca | eṣā pūrvatārā vṛttir brāhmaṇasya vidhīyate | jñānavān eva karmāṇi kurvan sarvatra sidhyati ||
วยาสะกล่าวว่า “ลูกเอ๋ย นี่คือวิถีชีวิตของพราหมณ์อันเก่าแก่ยิ่ง สืบทอดมาแต่โบราณ และบัญญัติไว้ตามศาสตรา ผู้มีญาณแท้เท่านั้น—แม้ยังประกอบกรรมอยู่—ย่อมบรรลุความสำเร็จได้ทุกแห่งหน”
