Svapna–Manas–Guṇa–Brahma-vicāra

ततो<गच्छत्‌ विस्मयं ते दानवेन्द्रा भयं तथा । संशयं गतमात्मानं मेनिरे च सहस्रश:,इससे उन दानवेन्द्रोंकी बड़ा विस्‍स्मथ और भय प्राप्त हुआ। वे सहस्रों दैत्य अपने आपको जीवनके संशयमें पड़ा हुआ मानने लगे

tato ’gacchat vismayaṁ te dānavendrā bhayaṁ tathā | saṁśayaṁ gatam ātmānaṁ menire ca sahasraśaḥ ||

แล้วบรรดาจอมทัพทานวะก็ถูกความพิศวงและความหวาดกลัวครอบงำ เหล่าไทตยะนับพันต่างคิดว่าชีวิตของตนตกอยู่ในความกังขา—จะรอดหรือไม่รอด
