रश्मीस्तेषां स मनसा यदा सम्यड्नियच्छति । तदा प्रकाशते<स्यात्मा घटे दीपो ज्वलन्निव,जब जीव बुद्धिरूपी सारथि और मनरूपी बागडोर-द्वारा इन्द्रियरूपी अश्वोंकी लगाम अच्छी तरह काबूमें रखता है तब घड़ेमें रखे हुए प्रजजलित दीपकके समान अपने भीतर ही उसका आत्मा प्रकाशित होने लगता है
raśmīs teṣāṃ sa manasā yadā samyaṅ niyacchati | tadā prakāśate 'syātmā ghaṭe dīpo jvalann iva ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า—เมื่อบุคคลใช้มโนควบคุมรัศมีคือแรงดึงของอินทรีย์ทั้งหลายให้ถูกต้องแล้ว อาตมันภายในย่อมส่องสว่าง ดุจประทีปที่ลุกโชติช่วงอยู่ภายในหม้อ.
