Ācāra-vidhi (Rules of Conduct) — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry and Bhīṣma’s Normative Catalogue

एवं त्विह स सर्वत्र प्राणेन परिचाल्यते । पृष्ठतस्तु समानेन स्वां स्वां गतिमुपाश्रित:

evaṃ tv iha sa sarvatra prāṇena paricālyate | pṛṣṭhatas tu samānena svāṃ svāṃ gatim upāśritaḥ ||

ในกายนี้ กิจทั้งปวงในทุกส่วนย่อมถูกขับเคลื่อนด้วยปราณะ แล้วปราณะนั้นเอง จากเบื้องหลังในฐานะลมหายใจถ่วงดุลที่เรียกว่า “สมานะ” เมื่ออาศัยวิถีอันควรของตน ก็ย่อมกำกับและค้ำจุนการทำงานของกายให้ดำเนินไปตามทางของแต่ละส่วน
