सो5सृजद्‌ वातमर्ग्निं च भास्करं चापि वीर्यवान्‌ । आकाशमस्‌जच्चोर्ध्वमधो भूमिं च नै#ऋतीम्‌,उन शक्तिशाली पितामहने वायु, अग्नि और सूर्यकी सृष्टि की। आकाश, ऊपर, नीचे, भूमि तथा राक्षससमूहकी भी रचना की

so ’sṛjad vātaṃ vahniṃ ca bhāskaraṃ cāpi vīryavān | ākāśam asṛjac cordhvam adho bhūmiṃ ca nairṛtīm ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า—ปิตามหาผู้ทรงเดชานุภาพได้บังเกิดลม ไฟ และสุริยะ อีกทั้งทรงสร้างท้องฟ้า ภูมิภาคเบื้องบนและเบื้องล่าง แผ่นดิน และหมู่สัตว์แห่งชั้นไนฤต (พวกยักษ์รากษส) ด้วย
