अध्याय १५२: लोभः पापस्य मूलम् — Greed as the Root of Wrongdoing

वक्ष्यन्ति मामधर्मज्ञं त्यक्ष्यन्ति सुहदो जना: । ता वाच: सुहृद: श्रुत्वा संज्वरिष्यन्ति मे भूशम्‌,मुझे लोग अधर्मज्ञ कहेंगे। मेरे हितैषी सुहृद्‌ मुझे त्याग देंगे तथा तुम्हें धर्मोपदेश देनेकी बात सुनकर मेरे सुहृद्‌ मुझपर अत्यन्त रोषसे जल उठेंगे

vakṣyanti mām adharmajñaṃ tyakṣyanti suhṛdo janāḥ | tā vācaḥ suhṛdaḥ śrutvā saṃjvariṣyanti me bhūśam ||

ผู้คนจะกล่าวหาว่าข้าไม่รู้ธรรมะ; มิตรสหายผู้หวังดีจะทอดทิ้งข้า ครั้นได้ยินถ้อยคำเช่นนี้—ว่าด้วยการสั่งสอนธรรมะ—มิตรของข้าจะเดือดดาลเผาไหม้ด้วยโทสะอย่างรุนแรงต่อข้า
