Śaraṇāgata-Atithi-Dharma in the Kapota Narrative (कपोत-आख्यानम्—शरणागतधर्मः)
श्षपच उवाच सुहृद् भूत्वानुशासे त्वां कृपा हि त्वयि मे द्विज । यदिदं श्रेय आधत्स्व मा लोभात् पातकं कृथा:
śvapaca uvāca: suhṛd bhūtvānuśāse tvāṁ kṛpā hi tvayi me dvija | yad idaṁ śreya ādhatsva mā lobhāt pātakaṁ kṛthāḥ ||
ศวปจะกล่าวว่า “โอ พราหมณ์ผู้เป็นทวิช ข้าพเจ้าเป็นมิตรผู้หวังดีจึงตักเตือนท่าน เพราะข้าพเจ้ามีความกรุณาต่อท่านโดยแท้ จงยึดถือสิ่งที่เป็นศุภประโยชน์อย่างแท้จริงเถิด อย่ากระทำบาปกรรมด้วยความโลภเลย”
