Educational Q&A

The verse models dharmic inquiry: when moral reasoning becomes clouded by a troubling example (here, a discourse on distrust), one should seek clarification from a reliable elder/teacher to remove doubt and restore right understanding.

In Śānti Parva’s instruction-setting, Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Bhīṣma as ‘Grandfather’ and asks him to dispel his confusion after hearing a discussion/story about distrust, requesting a clear resolution of his doubt.
