यद् भवानाह तत् सर्व मया ते लोमश श्रुतम् ममापि तावद् ब्रुवतः शृणु यत् प्रतिभाति मे,“लोमश! तुमने जो कुछ कहा, वह सब मैंने ध्यान देकर सुना। अब मेरी बुद्धिमें जो विचार स्फुरित हो रहा है उसे बतलाता हूँ, अतः मेरे इस कथनको भी सुन लो
yad bhavān āha tat sarvaṃ mayā te lomaśa śrutam | mamāpi tāvad bruvataḥ śṛṇu yat pratibhāti me ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “โอ โลมศะ สิ่งใดที่ท่านกล่าวมา ข้าพเจ้าได้ฟังทั้งหมดโดยถี่ถ้วนแล้ว บัดนี้ขอท่านจงฟังสิ่งที่บังเกิดขึ้นในความคิดของข้าพเจ้า เมื่อข้าพเจ้าจะกล่าวบ้าง”
