इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत आपद्धर्मपर्वमें कायव्यका चरित्रविषयक एक सौ पैतीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārata-śāntiparva-antargata āpaddharmaparvaṇi kāyavyasya caritra-viṣayaka ekaśata-pañcatriṁśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ
ดังนี้ ในศรีมหาภารตะ ปรากฏในศานติปรรพ ภาคอาปัทธรรมปรรพ บทที่หนึ่งร้อยสามสิบห้า ว่าด้วยประวัติและความประพฤติของกายัวยะ ได้สิ้นสุดลงแล้ว ถ้อยคำปิดท้ายนี้เป็นโคโลฟอนแสดงการจบตอนคำสั่งสอนของภีษมะ อันเป็นแนวทางว่าด้วยการประพฤติชอบ โดยเฉพาะการวินิจฉัยธรรมะในยามคับขัน।
