Spiritual power is validated by inner purification and the absence of anger; after accomplishing what is necessary (here, revealing a divine form), the sage returns to a life of restraint rather than remaining in worldly contention.
The speaker describes a sage who first grants an extraordinary vision of his divine form to others present, and then—being sinless and free from wrath—withdraws into a nearby forest, signaling closure of the encounter and a return to ascetic seclusion.
