बाणवद्धिसृता यान्ति स्वामिकार्यपरा नरा: । ये भृत्या: पार्थिवहितास्तेषां सान्त्वं प्रयोजयेत्‌

Transliteration

bāṇavaddhi sṛtā yānti svāmikāryaparā narāḥ | ye bhṛtyāḥ pārthivahitās teṣāṃ sāntvaṃ prayojayet ||

Translation

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “บุรุษผู้มุ่งมั่นในกิจของนาย ย่อมพุ่งไปสู่ความสำเร็จดุจลูกศรที่หลุดจากคันธนู. ฉะนั้น เมื่อข้ารับใช้ทั้งหลายอุทิศตนเพื่อประโยชน์แห่งพระราชา กษัตริย์พึงหนุนใจเขาอยู่เสมอด้วยถ้อยคำอ่อนหวานและปลอบประโลม เพื่อให้ความฮึกเหิมและความภักดีมั่นคง.”
