न ध्रुवं सुखमस्तीति कुतो राष्ट्र कुतो यश: । इह कीर्तिविधातव्या सा च युद्धेन नान्यथा,'संसारमें कोई भी सुख सदा रहनेवाला नहीं है। फिर राष्ट्र और यश भी कैसे स्थिर रह सकते हैं? यहाँ तो कीर्तिका ही उपार्जन करना चाहिये और कीर्ति युद्धके सिवा किसी दूसरे उपायसे नहीं मिल सकती
Translation
เมื่อความสุขในโลกนี้ไม่แน่นอน แล้วอาณาจักรกับเกียรติยศจะมั่นคงได้อย่างไร? ในที่นี้พึงสั่งสมไว้แต่กีรติ และกีรตินั้นหาได้ด้วยสงครามเท่านั้น มิใช่ด้วยทางอื่น
