उवाच नियमज्ञा च कल्याणी सा प्रियंवदा । भगवन् मुनिशार्दूल किमाज्ञापयसि प्रभो
uvāca niyamajñā ca kalyāṇī sā priyaṃvadā | bhagavan munisārdūla kim ājñāpayasi prabho ||
แล้วศรุตาวตี ผู้รู้วัตรและข้อปฏิบัติ เป็นสตรีผู้เป็นมงคลและวาจาอ่อนหวาน กล่าวขึ้นว่า— “ข้าแต่ภควาน ผู้เป็นพยัคฆ์ในหมู่มุนี ข้าแต่พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ท่านมีบัญชาอันใดแก่ข้าพเจ้า?”
