स्वागतं कुशल चास्मै पर्यपृच्छद् यथातथम् | उस समय राजा युधिष्ठिरने बलरामजीको हृदयसे लगाकर उनका स्वागत किया और यथोचितरूपसे उनका कुशल-समाचार पूछा
svāgataṁ kuśalaṁ cāsmāi paryapṛcchad yathātatham |
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ครั้งนั้นพระเจ้ายุธิษฐิระทรงโอบกอดท่านด้วยใจจริง ต้อนรับอย่างสมควร และทรงไต่ถามสารทุกข์สุขดิบตามธรรมเนียม
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct: one should receive an honored person with proper welcome and sincerely inquire about their welfare. Courtesy and concern are ethical duties, especially for a king and especially toward elders and revered guests.
Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira receives Balarāma respectfully—welcoming him and asking after his well-being in an appropriate, formal manner.
