Adhyāya 33: Rauhiṇeya (Balarāma) is welcomed and takes his seat to witness the gadā-engagement
न तथा धार्तराष्ट्रस्य मा कार्षीमाधव व्यथाम् | अहमेनं हि गदया संयुगे 80 किक मुत्सहे,मेरी यह गदा दुर्योधनकी डेढ़गुनी भारी है। ऐसी दुर्योधनकी गदा नहीं है, अतः माधव! आप व्यथित न हों। मैं समरांगणमें इस गदाद्वारा इससे भिड़नेका उत्साह रखता हूं
na tathā dhārtarāṣṭrasya mā kārṣī mādhava vyathām | aham enaṃ hi gadayā saṃyuge kṛtum utsahe |
ภีมเสนกล่าวว่า “โอ้มาธวะ อย่าได้โศกเศร้าเพราะบุตรแห่งธฤตราษฏระถึงเพียงนั้น เราพร้อมและมุ่งมั่นจะเข้าต่อสู้กับเขาในยุทธด้วยคทาของเรา”
