असकृद्धदतस्तस्य दुर्योधनवधेन च
asakṛddattas tasya duryodhana-vadhena ca
ธฤตราษฏร์ตรัสว่า “ด้วยเหตุนั้นเอง และด้วยการถูกสังหารของทุรโยธนะด้วย ใจของเราถูกความโศกและความปั่นป่วนกระหน่ำซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า”
धघतयाट्र उवाच
Unchecked attachment and partiality in leadership culminate in recurring sorrow: when adharma is protected and wise counsel ignored, the consequences return repeatedly, especially in the form of irreversible loss.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra reflects on the calamities that have befallen him; the death of his son Duryodhana becomes a central cause of renewed grief, intensifying his lament in the aftermath of the war.
