सुतसोमस्य सासिं त॑ बाहुं छित्त्वा नरर्षभ । पुनरप्याहनत् पाश्वें स भिन्नहृदयो5पतत्
Sutasomasya sāsiṃ taṃ bāhuṃ chittvā nararṣabha | punar apy āhanat pārśve sa bhinnahṛdayo 'patat ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “โอ้ยอดบุรุษผู้ประดุจโคอุสุภะ อัศวัตถามันตัดแขนของสุทโสมนพร้อมทั้งดาบ แล้วฟันซ้ำเข้าที่สีข้าง เมื่ออกและบริเวณหัวใจฉีกขาด สุทโสมก็ล้มลงสู่พื้นดิน”
