ऑपन--माज बछ। जि एकोनाशीतितमो< ध्याय: द्रौोपदीका कुन्तीसे विदा लेना तथा कुन्तीका विलाप एवं नगरके नर-नारियोंका शोकातुर होना वैशमग्पायन उवाच तस्मिन्‌ सम्प्रस्थिते कृष्णा पृथां प्राप्प यशस्विनीम्‌ । अपृच्छद्‌ भृशदु:खार्ता याश्षान्यास्तत्र योषित:

Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: tasmin samprasthite kṛṣṇā pṛthāṃ prāpya yaśasvinīm | apṛcchad bhṛśa-duḥkhārtā yāś cānyās tatra yoṣitaḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—ครั้นเขาออกเดินทางแล้ว กฤษณา (เทราปที) ผู้มีเกียรติยศ ถูกความโศกอันแรงกล้าครอบงำ จึงเข้าไปหา ปฤถา (กุนตี) แล้วทูลถาม; และสตรีอื่น ๆ ที่อยู่ ณ ที่นั้นก็โศกเศร้า พลอยซักถามด้วย
