Escalation of Wagers and Shakuni’s Repeated Declarations of Victory
इदं तु त्वां कुरुगाजो 5 भ्युवाच पूर्व पृष्टवा कुशलं चाव्ययं च । इयं सभा त्वत्सभातुल्यरूपा भ्रातृणां ते दृश्यतामेत्य पुत्र
idaṃ tu tvāṃ kururājo 'bhyuvāca pūrvaṃ pṛṣṭvā kuśalaṃ cāvyayaṃ ca | iyaṃ sabhā tvat-sabhā-tulya-rūpā bhrātṝṇāṃ te dṛśyatām etya putra ||
แต่ก่อนอื่นกษัตริย์แห่งกุรุ คือธฤตราษฏระ ได้ทรงไต่ถามความผาสุกและสุขภาพอันไม่เสื่อมของท่าน แล้วมีพระดำรัสฝากมาว่า “ลูกเอ๋ย ที่นี่ได้จัดสร้างท้องพระโรงไว้ มีรูปโฉมและความโอ่อ่าเสมอด้วยท้องพระโรงของเจ้า จงมาพร้อมด้วยพี่น้องของเจ้าแล้วมาดูเถิด”
