Śakuniḥ uvāca: yāṃ tvam etāṃ śriyaṃ dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍuputre yudhiṣṭhire | tapyase tāṃ hariṣyāmi dyūtena jayatāṃ vara ||
ศกุนิกล่าวว่า “โอ้ผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่ผู้มีชัย! เมื่อเห็นศรีสมบัติและความรุ่งเรืองนี้ในยุธิษฐิระ โอรสแห่งปาณฑุ เจ้าจึงเร่าร้อนด้วยริษยา เราจักชิงเอาศรีนั้นจากเขาด้วยการเล่นสกา”
