कृतां विन्दुसरोरत्नैर्मयेन स्फाटिकच्छदाम् | अपश्यं नलिनीं पूर्णामुदकस्येव भारत
kṛtāṁ bindusaroratnair mayena sphaṭikacchadām | apaśyaṁ nalinīṁ pūrṇām udakasy eva bhārata bhārata |
โอ้ภารตะ มายาอสูรได้นำรัตนะจากสระบินทุสรัสมาสร้างสระบัวเทียม ปูทับด้วยแผ่นศิลาแก้วผลึกและประดับรัตนะ ข้ากลับเข้าใจว่าเป็นสระน้ำเต็มเปี่ยม ครั้นข้ายกชายผ้าเพื่อจะก้าวลงไป ภีมเสนก็ระเบิดเสียงหัวเราะกึกก้อง ความโอ่อ่าพิสดารของศัตรูทำให้ข้าพร่าเลือน—และข้าเองก็ไร้รัตนะอยู่แล้ว—ศักดิ์ศรีจึงสั่นคลอน
