Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta
पितृष्वसु: कृते दुःखं सुमहन्मर्षयाम्यहम् । दिष्ट्या हीदं सर्वराज्ञां संनिधावद्य वर्तते,“मैं अपनी बुआके संतोषके लिये ही इसके बड़े दुःखद अपराधोंको सहन कर रहा हूँ; सौभाग्यकी बात है कि आज यह समस्त राजाओंके समीप मौजूद है
pitṛṣvasuḥ kṛte duḥkhaṃ sumahan marṣayāmy aham | diṣṭyā hīdaṃ sarvarājñāṃ saṃnidhāv adya vartate ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า: “เพื่อความพอใจของปิตุสวสา (ป้าฝ่ายบิดา) ข้าพเจ้าจึงอดกลั้นความทุกข์อันใหญ่หลวงและความผิดอันร้ายแรงนี้ไว้ นับเป็นโชคที่วันนี้เรื่องนี้ปรากฏอยู่ต่อหน้าพระราชาทั้งปวง”
