क्लीबे दारक्रिया यादृगन्धे वा रूपदर्शनम्‌ । अराज्ञो राजवत्‌ पूजा तथा ते मधुसूदन,मधुसूदन! जैसे नपुंसकका ब्याह रचाना और अंधेको रूप दिखाना उनका उपहास ही करना है, उसी प्रकार तुम-जैसे राज्यहीनकी यह राजाओंके समान पूजा भी विडम्बनामात्र ही है

klībe dārakriyā yādṛg andhe vā rūpadarśanam | arājño rājavat pūjā tathā te madhusūdana ||

ศิศุปาลกล่าวว่า “โอ้มธุสูทนะ! ดุจการจัดพิธีสมรสให้ขันที หรือการแสดงรูปให้คนตาบอด—ล้วนเป็นเพียงการเยาะเย้ย; ฉันใด การบูชาท่านผู้ไร้อาณาจักรประหนึ่งเป็นกษัตริย์ ก็เป็นเพียงเรื่องล้อเลียนเท่านั้น”
