Adhyāya 31: Rājasūya-samāgama — The Gathering of Kings and the Ordering of Hospitality

नगरीं संजयन्तीं च पाखण्डं करहाटकम्‌ । दूतैरेव वशे चक्रे करं चैनानदापयत्‌,समूचे कोलगिरि, सुरभीपत्तन, ताग्रद्वीप, रामकपर्वत तथा तिमिंगिलनरेशको भी अपने वशमें करके परम बुद्धिमान्‌ सहदेवने एक पैरके पुरुषों, केरलों, वनवासियों, संजयन्ती नगरी तथा पाखण्ड और करहाटक देशोंको दूतोंद्वारा संदेश देकर ही अपने अधीन कर लिया और उन सबसे कर वसूल किया

sahadeva uvāca |

nagarīṃ sañjayantīṃ ca pākhaṇḍaṃ karahāṭakam |

dūtair eva vaśe cakre karaṃ cainān adāpayat |

สหเทวะกล่าวว่า เขาเพียงส่งทูตเท่านั้น ก็ทำให้เมืองสัญชัยยันตีและแคว้นที่เรียกว่าปาขัณฑะกับกรหาฏกะอยู่ใต้อำนาจ และบังคับให้ส่งบรรณาการ
