Adhyāya 31: Rājasūya-samāgama — The Gathering of Kings and the Ordering of Hospitality

स शूरसेनान्‌ कार्त्स्न्येन पूर्वमेवाजयत्‌ प्रभु: । मत्स्यराजं च कौरव्यो वशे चक्रे बलादू बली,शक्तिशाली सहदेवने सबसे पहले समस्त शूरसेननिवासियोंको पूर्णरूपसे जीत लिया; फिर मत्स्यराज विराटको अपने अधीन बनाया

sa śūrasenān kārtsnyena pūrvam evājayat prabhuḥ | matsyarājaṃ ca kauravyo vaśe cakre balād balī ||

สหเทวะผู้ทรงเดชได้ปราบชาวศูรเสนะทั้งสิ้นเสียก่อน; แล้ววีรกุรุผู้มีกำลัง ก็ใช้กำลังอาวุธทำให้พระเจ้าวิราฏะแห่งมัตสยะยอมอยู่ใต้บังคับบัญชา
