इत्युक्त्वा सो5सुर: पार्थ प्रागुदीचीं दिशं गत: । अथोत्तरेण कैलासान्मैनाकं पर्वतं प्रति,अर्जुनसे ऐसा कहकर मयासुर पूर्वोत्तर दिशा (ईशानकोण)-में कैलाससे उत्तर मैनाक पर्वतके पास गया

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ครั้นกล่าวดังนั้นแล้ว โอ้ ปารถะ อสูรผู้นั้นก็ออกเดินทางไปยังทิศอีสาน (ตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ) แล้วผ่านไปทางเหนือของเขาไกรลาส มุ่งหน้าไปยังภูเขาไมณากะ”
