वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct in action: honouring rightful authority (the priest Dhaumya), offering compassion to the distressed (Draupadī), and observing propriety by taking leave/permission before proceeding—showing that greatness is expressed through disciplined ethics and courtesy.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa respectfully salutes Dhaumya, consoles Draupadī, and then—after taking leave—goes onward to meet the other brothers (the Pāṇḍavas), continuing the unfolding events in the Sabha Parva setting.
