ऑपन-माज बछ। अकाल सप्तदशो<् ध्याय: श्रीकृष्णके द्वारा अर्जुनकी बातका अनुमोदन तथा युधिष्ठटिरको जरासंधकी उत्पत्तिका प्रसंग सुनाना वायुदेव उवाच जातस्य भारते वंशे तथा कुन्त्या: सुतस्य च । या वै युक्ता मति: सेयमर्जुनेन प्रदर्शिता,भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने कहा--राजन्‌! भरतवंशमें उत्पन्न पुरुष और कुन्ती-जैसी माताके पुत्रकी जैसी बुद्धि होनी चाहिये, अर्जुनने यहाँ उसीका परिचय दिया है

vāyudeva uvāca | jātasya bhārate vaṁśe tathā kuntyāḥ sutasya ca | yā vai yuktā matiḥ seyam arjunena pradarśitā ||

วายุเทพกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา ผู้เกิดในวงศ์ภารตะ—ยิ่งเป็นบุตรของมารดาเช่นกุนตี—พึงมีดุลยพินิจอันเหมาะสมเช่นนี้ และอรชุนได้แสดงวิจารณญาณอันถูกต้องนั้นไว้ ณ ที่นี้”
