ते हित्वा समरे कर्ण वध्यमानाश्न सायकै: । प्रदुद्रवुर्दिशो भीताश्लुक्रुशुश्नापि सूतजम्
te hitvā samare karṇa vadhyamānāś ca sāyakaiḥ | pradudruvur diśo bhītāḥ krūśuś cāpi sūtajam ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—เมื่อถูกศรทิ่มแทงและถูกความหวาดกลัวครอบงำ พวกเขาทอดทิ้งกรรณะไว้กลางสมรภูมิแล้วหนีแตกกระเจิงไปทุกทิศทุกทาง แต่ถึงกระนั้นเพื่อเอาชีวิตรอด ขณะวิ่งหนีก็ยังร้องเรียก “กรรณะ บุตรสารถี” ให้คุ้มครองตนอยู่มิขาด
