त्वरितो$भिपतत्यस्मांस्त्यक्त्वा सैन्यान्यसंशयम्‌ | त्वं कर्ण प्रतियाहोनं नास्त्यन्यो हि धनुर्धर:,“इसमें संदेह नहीं कि वे सारी सेनाओंको छोड़कर बड़ी उतावलीके साथ हमलोगोंपर टूट पड़े हैं; अत: कर्ण! अब तुम भी इनका सामना करनेके लिये आगे बढ़ो, क्योंकि तुम्हारे सिवा दूसरा कोई धनुर्धर ऐसा करनेमें समर्थ नहीं है

Transliteration

tvarito 'bhipataty asmāṁs tyaktvā sainyāny asaṁśayam | tvaṁ karṇa pratiyāho naṁ nāsty anyo hi dhanurdharaḥ ||

Translation

ไม่ต้องสงสัยเลยว่าเขาละทิ้งกองทัพส่วนอื่นแล้วพุ่งเข้าหาเราด้วยความรีบร้อนยิ่งนัก ดังนั้น โอ้กรรณะ จงก้าวออกไปเผชิญหน้าเขาในศึก—ไม่มีนายธนูคนใดอื่นจะสามารถรับมือได้เท่าเจ้า
