एते पर्वतशृज्ञाणां तुल्या हैमवता गजा: । संछिन्नकुम्भा: पार्थेन प्रपतन्त्यद्रयो यथा,'ये हिमाचलप्रदेशके हाथी, जो पर्वत-शिखरोंके समान जान पड़ते हैं, पर्वतोंक समान धराशायी हो रहे हैं। अर्जुनने इनके कुम्भस्थल काट डाले हैं

Transliteration

ete parvataśṛṅgāṇāṃ tulyā haimavatā gajāḥ | saṃchinnakumbhāḥ pārthena prapatanty adrayo yathā ||

Translation

ช้างแห่งแดนหิมาลัยเหล่านี้สูงตระหง่านดุจยอดเขา แต่เพราะปารถะตัดกุมภะ—ปุ่มหน้าผาก—ขาดเสียแล้ว จึงพังครืนลงประหนึ่งโขดผาหลุดจากภูผา
