कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira
अथ दस्युभयात् केचित् तदा तद् वनमाविशन् | तत्रापि दस्यव: क्रुद्धास्तानमार्गन्त यत्नतः,एक दिनकी बात है, कुछ लोग लुटेरोंके भयसे छिपनेके लिये उस वनमें घुस गये; परंतु वे लुटेरे कुपित हो वहाँ भी उन लोगोंका यत्नपूर्वक अनुसंधान करने लगे
atha dasyubhayāt kecit tadā tad vanam āviśan | tatrāpi dasyavaḥ kruddhās tān amārganta yatnataḥ ||
ครั้นแล้ว ด้วยความหวาดกลัวโจรป่า คนบางพวกจึงเข้าไปในป่านั้นเพื่อหลบซ่อน; แต่แม้ที่นั่น พวกดัสยุผู้โกรธเกรี้ยวก็ยังเพียรพยายามสืบค้นพวกเขาอย่างไม่ลดละ
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights a moral contrast: fear may force ordinary people into risky refuge, but unchecked anger and predatory intent make wrongdoers persistent. It implicitly warns that adharma (violence, greed) does not easily stop at boundaries, and that emotions like fear and anger shape human action and consequence.
Some people, frightened of robbers, enter a forest to hide. The robbers, however, become angry and actively search for them even within the forest, pursuing them with deliberate effort.
