Adhyāya 41 — Kṛṣṇa’s Battlefield Briefing and the Renewal of the Great Engagement
युद्धे सहिष्पे हिमवानिवाचलो धनंजयं क्रुद्धममृष्यमाणम् । 'वृक्षोंकी तोड़-उखाड़ देनेवाली प्रचण्ड वायुके समान प्रमथनशील, बलवान, प्रहारकुशल, तोड़-फोड़ करनेवाले तथा अमर्षशील क़ुद्ध अर्जुनका वेग आज मैं युद्धस्थलमें हिमालय पर्वतके समान अचल रहकर सहन करूँगा
yuddhe sahiṣpe himavān ivācalaḥ dhanañjayaṁ kruddham amṛṣyamāṇam | vṛkṣāṇāṁ toḍa-ukhāḍa-dāyinī pracaṇḍa-vāyur iva pramathanaśīlaḥ balavān prahārakuśalaḥ toḍa-phoḍa-kārī tathā amarṣīlaḥ kruddha arjunasya vegaṁ adya ahaṁ yuddhasthale himālaya-parvata-samānam acalaḥ bhūtvā sahiṣye ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “ในศึกนี้ เราจักทนรับแรงพุ่งของธนัญชัย—อรชุน—ผู้เดือดดาลและไม่อาจทนการดูหมิ่น. เขาดุจพายุกรรโชกแรงที่หักและถอนต้นไม้ เป็นผู้บดขยี้ในการเข้าตี มีกำลัง ชำนาญการฟันแทง และก่อความพินาศ. ถึงกระนั้น วันนี้ในสนามรบ เราจักยืนหยัดไม่หวั่นไหว ดุจหิมวาน (หิมาลัย) แล้วรับแรงของเขาไว้.”
