कर्णभीमसमागमः | Karṇa–Bhīma Encounter

यथासुराश्च निहता इषुणैकेन भारत | शल्यने कहा--भारत! नरश्रेष्ठ! मैंने भी देवश्रेष्ठ ब्रह्मा और महादेवजीके इस अलौकिक एवं दिव्य उपाख्यानको दिद्दवानोंके मुखसे सुना है कि किस प्रकार प्रपितामह ब्रह्माजीने महादेवजीका सारथि-कर्म किया था और कैसे एक ही बाणसे समस्त असुर मारे गये ।। कृष्णस्य चापि विदितं सर्वमेतत्‌ पुरा हाभूत्‌

yathāsurāś ca nihatā iṣuṇaikena bhārata | kṛṣṇasya cāpi viditaṃ sarvam etat purābhūt ||

ศัลยะกล่าวว่า “โอ ภารตะ! ดังที่ครั้งหนึ่งเหล่าอสูรถูกสังหารด้วยศรเพียงดอกเดียว ฉันใด เรื่องราวโบราณทั้งมวลนี้ พระกฤษณะก็ทรงทราบมาแต่ก่อนแล้ว ฉันได้ฟังจากโอษฐ์บัณฑิตถึงธรรมเนียมอันอัศจรรย์และเป็นทิพย์—ว่าปิตามหพรหมาได้ทรงทำหน้าที่สารถีให้พระมหาเทวะอย่างไร และด้วยอาวุธเพียงหนึ่งเดียว กองทัพอสูรก็พินาศลงอย่างไร”
