कर्णभीमसमागमः | Karṇa–Bhīma Encounter
समयश्न हि मे वीर कश्रिद् वैकर्तनं प्रति । उत्सूजेयं यथाश्रद्धमहं वाचो5स्य संनिधौ,वीरवर! परंतु वैकर्तन कर्णको मेरी एक शर्तका पालन करना होगा। मैं इसके समीप जो जीमें आयेगा, वैसी बातें करूँगा
samayaśna hi me vīra kaścid vaikartanaṃ prati | utsṛjeyaṃ yathāśraddham ahaṃ vāco ’sya saṃnidhau ||
ศัลยะกล่าวว่า “โอ้วีรบุรุษ ข้ามีเงื่อนไขประการหนึ่งต่อไวกรรตนะ (กรรณะ) หากเขายอมรับ ข้าจะกล่าวต่อหน้าเขาเองตามความเชื่อมั่นของข้า—ถ้อยคำใดผุดขึ้นในใจ ข้าจะกล่าวถ้อยคำนั้น”
