देवपुत्रमहं मन्ये क्षत्रियाणां कुलोद्धवम् | विसृष्टमवबोधार्थ कुलस्थेति मतिर्मम

ทุรโยธนะกล่าวว่า “เราถือว่าเขาเป็นโอรสแห่งเทพ ผู้บังเกิดในวงศ์กษัตริย์ ข้าแต่พระราชา ความเห็นของเราคือ เขาถูกทอดทิ้งโดยเจตนาเพื่อให้ผู้คนเข้าใจว่าเขาอยู่ต่างตระกูล และเพื่อมิให้ความจริงเป็นที่ประจักษ์”
