Shloka 147

कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

एतच्छुत्वा तु वचन प्रतिगृह्य च सर्वश:

etac chrutvā tu vacanaṃ pratigṛhya ca sarvaśaḥ | tatraiva śirodhārya paraśurāmaḥ svastivācana-ādi maṅgalakṛtyaṃ kṛtvā dānavānāṃ samāgamaṃ prati jagāma | mahān darpa-bala-sampannān devāriṇas tān evaṃ provāca ||

ครั้นได้สดับถ้อยคำนั้นแล้ว ปรศุรามก็รับไว้โดยสิ้นเชิงและยึดถือไว้เหนือเศียรเกล้า ครั้นประกอบพิธีมงคล เช่น การสวดถ้อยคำอำนวยพรแล้ว จึงออกไปเผชิญหน้าพวกทานวะ ครั้นประจันหน้าศัตรูแห่งทวยเทพผู้เปี่ยมด้วยทิฐิและกำลังกล้านั้น ท่านจึงกล่าวดังนี้
