कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
एतस्मिन्नेव काले तु दैत्या हासन् महाबला: । तैस्तदा दर्पमोहाद्यैरबा ध्यन्त दिवौकस:
etasminn eva kāle tu daityā hāsan mahābalāḥ | tais tadā darpamohādyair abādhyanta divaukasaḥ ||
ในกาลนั้นเอง พวกไทตยะมีกำลังยิ่งใหญ่ หัวเราะด้วยความฮึกเหิมแห่งชัยชนะ แล้วด้วยความทะนงตน ความหลง และโทษทำนองนั้น เขาจึงเริ่มเบียดเบียนเหล่าผู้อยู่อาศัยในสวรรค์
