Chapter 26: Śalya appointed as charioteer; Karṇa’s departure; portents
प्रतोद॑ गृह सो<न्यत्तु रश्मीनपि यथा पुरा । वाहयामास तानभश्चान् सत्यसेनरथं प्रति,तब भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने दूसरा चाबुक लेकर पूर्ववत् घोड़ोंकी बागडोर सँभाली और उन घोड़ोंको सत्यसेनके रथके समीप पहुँचा दिया
pratodaṁ gṛhya so 'nyattu raśmīn api yathā purā | vāhayāmāsa tān aśvān satyasenarathaṁ prati ||
แล้วพระกฤษณะทรงหยิบแส้อีกอันหนึ่ง ทรงจับบังเหียนดังเดิม และทรงขับม้าให้พุ่งไปจนเข้าใกล้รถศึกของสัทยเสนะ
संजय उवाच
Even in the chaos of battle, dharma is reflected in steadiness, skill, and self-control: the charioteer’s disciplined action enables right execution of duty and prevents panic from governing decisions.
Sañjaya describes Kṛṣṇa taking up another whip, holding the reins as before, and driving the horses so that the chariot is brought near Satyasena’s chariot—an immediate tactical movement within the ongoing combat.
