निरुद्धे तत्र मार्गे च शरसंघै: समन्ततः । व्यरोचेतां महात्मानौ कालसूर्याविवोदितौ,बाणोंके समूहसे वहाँ सब ओरका मार्ग अवरुद्ध हो जानेपर वे दोनों महामनस्वी वीर नकुल और कर्ण प्रलयकालमें उदित हुए दो सूर्चोके समान प्रकाशित हो रहे थे
niruddhe tatra mārge ca śarasaṅghaiḥ samantataḥ | vyarocetāṃ mahātmānau kālasūryāv ivoditau ||
เมื่อหนทาง ณ ที่นั้นถูกปิดกั้นรอบด้านด้วยหมู่ศรอันหนาแน่น วีรบุรุษผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ทั้งสอง—นกุลและกรรณะ—ก็ส่องประกายดุจดวงอาทิตย์คู่ที่อุบัติขึ้นในกาลแห่งปรลัย
