मतं मतिमतां श्रेष्ठा: सर्वे प्रत्रृत मा चिरम् । एवं गते तु कि कार्य कि च कार्यतरं नूपा:
sañjaya uvāca | mataṃ matimatāṃ śreṣṭhāḥ sarve prabrūta mā ciram | evaṃ gate tu kiṃ kāryaṃ kiṃ ca kāryataraṃ nṛpāḥ |
“โอ้ผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่นักปราชญ์! ท่านทั้งปวงจงกล่าวความเห็นอันไตร่ตรองแล้วโดยเร็ว อย่าชักช้า เมื่อเรื่องราวมาถึงเพียงนี้แล้ว เราควรทำสิ่งใด และหน้าที่ใดเร่งด่วนที่สุดสำหรับเรา โอ้กษัตริย์ทั้งหลาย?”
