नेह ध्रुवं किंचन जातु विद्यते लोके हास्मिन् कर्मणोडनित्ययोगात् । सूर्योदये को हि विमुक्तसंशयो भावं कुर्वीतार्यमहाव्रते हते
neha dhruvaṃ kiṃcana jātu vidyate loke hāsmin karmaṇo 'nityayogāt | sūryodaye ko hi vimuktasaṃśayo bhāvaṃ kurvīt āryamahāvrate hate ||
กรรณะกล่าวว่า—“ในโลกนี้ไม่มีสิ่งใดแน่นอนเลย เพราะกรรมผูกพันอยู่กับความไม่เที่ยง ใครเล่าจะกล่าวได้โดยไร้ความสงสัยว่า ‘พรุ่งนี้สุริยะจักต้องขึ้นแน่’ ในเมื่อภีษมะผู้ประเสริฐ ผู้ทรงมหาวรต ยังถูกโค่นลง? เมื่อเสาหลักอันมั่นคงยังล้มได้ ชีวิตของเราจะมีความแน่นอนอันใด”
