Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 2: Karṇa’s lament, vow, and battle preparation after Bhīṣma’s fall
सम्पूज्यमान: कुरुभिर्महात्मा रथर्षभो देवगण्णर्यथेन्द्र: । ययौ तदायोधनमुग्रधन्वा यत्रावसानं भरतर्षभस्य
sampūjyamānaḥ kurubhir mahātmā ratharṣabho devagaṇair yathendraḥ | yayau tadā yodhanam ugradhanvā yatrāvasānaṃ bharatarṣabhasya ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “ครานั้น กรรณะผู้มีใจยิ่งใหญ่ ได้รับการสักการะจากเหล่ากุรุทั้งปวง เป็นยอดแห่งนักรบรถศึก ดุจพระอินทร์ท่ามกลางหมู่เทวะ เขาผู้เป็นนายธนูอันน่าเกรงขามมุ่งไปยังสมรภูมินั้นเอง—สถานที่ซึ่งภีษมะ ผู้ประเสริฐแห่งวงศ์ภารตะ ได้ถึงกาลอวสาน”
